A lot more now than before in some locations...at least according to what I've heard ... but still a huge need of flexibility. Sure remember the power issues when we lived there a number of years ago... that was a real challenge, especially when meat was in the oven and it suddenly dropped off. Lanterns worked for most things, but baking wasn't an easy adjustment.

You had my attention and heart again.caryjohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01488368153291827383noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3908418862928442229.post-10314162503714550362012-05-21T00:31:43.963-07:002012-05-21T00:31:43.963-07:00Sarah, I do enjoy the more laid-back lifestyle her...Sarah, I do enjoy the more laid-back lifestyle here! The focus is more often on relationships than on accomplishing tasks. I think the western world could learn and benefit more from this mentality.
Hey, Darlene, thanks for the comment! Yes, you are right - people here are generally more mild-mannered and patient about many things. This is most often true in the more rural settings - as sometimes things get "hectic" in the cities. :)Ruthie H.https://www.blogger.com/profile/08300424322263964718noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3908418862928442229.post-57984125058485590862012-05-19T22:01:31.818-07:002012-05-19T22:01:31.818-07:00When things don't go "our way" here ...When things don't go "our way" here in America, we tend to get really grumpy. So, I reckon if it's status quo to go with the flow in Uganda, folks are generally more mild-mannered about lots of things. Maybe?

Miss Ruthie, you are a blessing indeed.

That sunset image is great. BTW, I'm running low on the Suubi Project cards. Well, that happens when I take out several for my own self. I especially love the laundry line one with all the reds and giant clothes pins.

Love and hugs.

Blessings.SimplyDarlenehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11716840701917741674noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3908418862928442229.post-8563187436724284812012-05-18T08:25:01.429-07:002012-05-18T08:25:01.429-07:00As hard a time as I know I would have at first, I ...As hard a time as I know I would have at first, I wish I could live in Ugandan time...I think in the States we get way too caught up with the "be here, right now" mentality. :)
Hope Geoffrey got all settled in!SarahJaynehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15465954030773502482noreply@blogger.com
